automatic water change

Wth the description clearly states its 4 pumps!!!

LOT of 4 PUMPS ALL for ONLY $180. The cost of one pump...!

ONLY $45 EACH. GREAT PRICE...!!!!

And it looks like they raised prices too...

Dispute it for sure.

Long as it works at least you got one, still for $80 for the pump is a decent price all things considered. But, definitely demand a partial refund or the other three pumps, the listing still says LOT of 4 pumps with 5 available and 2 sold...... I saved a copy of the listing should you have any problems disputing it with paypal or ebay.......

Take care powering it up and don't touch the back end while in operation. It should be insulated but there could be exposed contacts at the back or around the coils and magnets so probably best to put a shroud around it when using. I've also seen a few others of these floating around with fans mounted to the shaft sticking out the back. I assume for long term use they get hot and when enclosed need the air flow? probably not an issue if on for brief periods for water change use though.

I think they actually dropped the prices before I bought- they were charging $185 for 4 then tried $100 when they didn't sell. I think the description is pretty clear so I opened a case with ebay by contacting the seller asking if I should be expecting additional packages. If I don't get a response (or I get a negative response) in the next 3 days I'll escalate it to eBay and let them deal with it.

Has a shaft out the back that obviously spins during operation so the fan makes sense. I haven't yet powered it up, I'll get part numbers for the motor and the heads for you all shortly. I surprised my wife with it and she thought it was the best idea in the world since I'm so lazy with water changes.

While I don't think $100 is the worst deal for a good two headed pump that is very lightly used (description says new but these are obviously used) I will pursue them for the other 3 pumps or a partial refund. It's sort of a principal of ebay thing- you should be held liable for delivering on your ad. Also, they shipped the one pump with barely any packaging at all in a box via USPS, but didn't opt for a "if it fits it ships" flat rate box. Appropriately packaged you could safely ship all 4 pumps in one $15 flat rate box (which is what I was expecting).

Oh well, I'm still excited- the tubing on the heads looks fresh but I'll replace it just in case as I assume these were used for ink refilling.

Ok. Today I setup the wiring for the relays that will control the automatic water change pump and the solenoid for my RO. All I have left now is to get the ReefAngel programmed and connect the 5V outputs to the trigger input on the relays. Then the main part of the electronics will be done. I do still have to get the control signal from upstairs connected and the float switch wired up for the ReefAngel's inputs, but that's just splicing wires.

Here's the finished product

One step forward and another step back... Somehow I screwed up the relays and now the red light is stuck on like the trigger is active but the relay is open and the trigger no longer responds. I'm not sure whats going on. I ordered 4 more relays...at least the shipment for this should line up with the shipment for the pwm motor controller. ****ed off at the moment...

Hmmm I'm on tap talk and I can see everyone else's Picts.maybe uninstall tap talk and re install? But anyways finally up and running with no leaks all the way to where the tank will be. Don't mind the mess as we just moved in last week and still have crap everywhere

Very nice - clean, well thought-out system Congrats! How long have you had it running? Any difficulties cleaning the square ASW tank?

Thanks for the kind words. Just set it up so not that long. To clean the tanks when I got them I just took a new sponge and and warm water to clean the outside and the insides were clean. Just ran some ro water threw them to make sure.

Very nice Chris- Just noticed a rectangular box to the bottom of the Stenner pump, and to the right of the power strip. What is that?

Nice to have met you at poker run BTW.

sadly the seller did not respond to my ebay case, so I've escalated it, appears I'll be getting my money back but not any additional pumps. Buyer beware.

AquamanE- I don't think we've ever met, maybe at macna really quickly but defiantly never at a poker run lol. As per the little black box it's a stenner flow meter to make sure when the pump is running it's actually pumping salt water and not air. It's a visual safety for me.

Ones on the out from the clean salt water bin b4 it gets to the pump and the other is on the dirty salt water suction from the tank line in the stand

Thats crazy. Make sure to give proper feedback and definitely escalate on both the description and the new/used status..
