One of our india blue peahens dissappeared a little while back but she showed up this morning with 3 little ones trailing behind her peeping! I'll see if Phillip can get a pic and post it for me. Wish you could have seen her get after Cervesa the mighty chihuahua when he tried to get up close and personal with the babies! Needless to say I doubt he'll ever get near them again :D

Not sure as they don't show color till they get older. While it's possible that they could be from the green, purple or white males I'm pretty sure they will be blue. ;)

Little ones again

It's a shame that clowns aren't that easy:

"One of our clownfish dissappeared a little while back but she showed up this morning with 3 little ones trailing behind her...."

:D

awwwww. way too cute. I wish i could keep peacocks. they are way cool. maybe when i grow up and get a house.....

As far as wintering over they just hang out in the trees. I've yet to lose one to the conditions. I'm not sure about in the city. I would say if you can keep chickens, horses, cows ect you could however be aware that your neighbors might not appreciate them as much as you do. Mine were here before my neighbors and it took them alittle while to get use to them but they don't even notice anymore.

hey pam...i hear they are noisy....too bad..i dont think they are allowed in the city...my neighbor is very picky...he doesnt even like my dogs barking....dogs bark, cats meow....picky picky :)

"someone" actually called animal control and told them we were raising our dogs to eat :))..........i told them only around Thanksgiving...

Well, I'm sorry to say that at least one didn't make it as we just found it on the back porch. There's really no way to tell who did it but I have my suspicions and told her about it in a voice she hasn't heard before. Since I've never yelled at her before I'm hoping that if she is guilty she will leave the others alone if they are still alive. I banged on the washer as I was yelling at her and I sure hope it made an impression cause my hand sure hurts! I'll have to wait till daylight to check on the other two so we'll see.
