I used a product on my tank like i normally do , i put it in last night 8pm on my 90 display ,14 cube,100+ in the basement , all seperate systems. get home from work and all sps , monti are bleached , cube is barely holding on , mostly softies . The leathers in the cube are sliming up . almost ready to pull em out . chalice are ok in dt . no pe anywhere , fungia bleached, clams open wide mouths , I am gettin ready for big waterchanges NOW!, nems are all shriveled up .I immediatly pulled the stuff offline . OOOOOOOOMANNNN!:debi::debi::debi::debi: wish me luck . its all dying in front of my eyes .I will not say the name of the product untill this has been resolved . sorry. ahhhhh! I CANT MAKE WATER JUST APPEAR YA KNOW !

I am running Poly fiber and big water changes , no dosing no feeding , less light output for now , any advice would help. And PUPPY CENTER is awsome for helping me get what i need ready last minute to pick up and run with ! RO water and all ! I will be up all night tonight ....

Oh man that sucks! Good luck with the rapid water changes and I hope it all works out for you. I wish I lived closer to lend a hand.

Sorry to hear about what is going on. Just take a deep breath and hang in there. Sounds like you are doing your best and I hope you are able to save as much as you can! You are doing everything I would do water change and poly filter. Keep us posted.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. If you end up losing any of your SPS and want some freebie frags to get you back up and running, just let me know.

I feel bad for you bro. Like I told you, if you need anything I'm a text or phone call away. I feel bad for recommending the stuff to you. I have a huge bucket of the stuff at home but haven't used it in forever, go figure. Hopefully your corals recover nicely.

Thanks guys . The coral are getting mad one by one and sliming up . the water is getting cloudy now . its gettin late and I am sure my work dosent want to hear a fish tank sob story how I am trying to save my tank ! ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................!!!!!!!!i dunno what to say.....

You look like you're coming down with something <cough> <cough>. Burn a sick day to put in your maximum effort, you won't regret it.

I agree.... sick day or impromptu vacation day. you need the time to either put things back together or recover from being up all night putting things back together! I've called in sick more than once due to tank emergencies.

Just a thought, but if the product you dosed was some form of carbon dosing you may have an issue with oxygen. I know that the bacteria will use up a lot of oxygen. Combine this with the fact of the heat we has today you may have experienced a sudden drop in oxygen.

It may not hurt to throw in an airstone or something.

Good luck with everything, I know how stressful a crash can be :/

heat wasnt an issue , stayed at 78 like it always does . oxygen may be a factor dont have a test for that ...I am thinking copper !

Hey reefir, we have never met, but I live in Bristol too. I just read your thread and I may be too late, but I have a fresh batch of about 40 gallons of RO if you need some. Unfortunately, I won't be home from work until 5 tomorrow, but if you still need some let me know. GL with your tank in the meantime.

Oh that is my worst fear! I will send prayers your way although I know that doesn't help much. If you end up losing stuff you're welcome to any frags I have. And I'm close to you here in Unionville. Good luck....

I dont know what happen to my first post but if it shows up ok.
can you also run extra carbon?
I will be glad to give you some frags to help restock at n/c

want a coffee?

i have read horror stories all over the place , i could see if its one tank but 3 tanks is reall rough , making 125gallons for a water change is crazy . this trial recovery is going to take a toll on the wallet . I hope I can recover most of my coral . I know we can test copper but I think its more than just the one source . I will say it was a carbon , not the NOPOX. I hope to talk with customer service in the am before I make a big deal about this product . I will keep you posted ! I hope the company makes this work out . Its all priceless stuff , $40-80 frags that have grown out for years . If i lose it all I may not come back to the hobby . I have spent more money on safeguards and technology to avoid these problems than I can count , one simple dose of a product can change my whole attitude on the reefing hobby . I want to go to the ceo and put it in his or her display tank and see how they feel ! they probably dont use their own products . what happened to quality control ? I put my hard earned time and money into this tank ! I am soooo bitter right now . I have a family that dosent need me falling apart over this tank !!!!!!!! I am trying to stay positive .....its not working !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have about ~30 gallons of RO/DI sitting in my basement if you need to come dip in, for whatever that's worth. Takes around 12 hours to refill.

I have a 12 liter per hour barnstead RO unit you could borrow if you need to make a lot of makeup water.
