Bandit angel and crosshatch trigger experiences

Came home yesterday to a cracked bottom pane in my 125g I setup for the fish so have to get the other 125g I have out of storage and setup today. Fish will arrive sometime next week, someone was looking out for me on this one! Would of been in full on panic mode yesterday if the fish would of arrived like they were originally suppose to. Now to cycle a tank in less than a week...

sorry, so glad the fish are coming next week...whew!

the real small skunk bandits (.80+-1.0 inch- this size is avail. in June when they settle in reef) can be a pita to get eating...I lost 2 tiny ones last June (2014) but the one I got the previous June (2013) ate from day 1 and was tiny- that is the smaller one in the dt...
Fortunately, I didn't have any setbacks getting the others to eat though the largest I ever got was only 3.25-3.50 inches...
I have heard that sometimes those over 4-4.50 inches can be difficult to get eating...

The sweet spot, imo, in terms of eating is not an issue is 2.50-3.50 inches...

The size of a Skunk bandit...

My Gawd those are tiny Ted! Well the one I'm getting is on the outside edge of the largest you have ever received. I was able to successfully force feed a 1-1/4" feeder goldfish today so I'm making steps toward progressing to saltwater specimens. Hopefully soon it won't matter if the fish I get are eating or not

I saw that pair, can't believe they haven't sold yet. The conspic they have is on the large size for my liking but 2350$ is a good price

that is crazy about your 125, sure glad that worked out for the best, can you please share your knowledge on how you know the QT is cycled? I now wonder what I would ever do if that happened to me, I have often thought about keeping something in my fuge to have something ready to go in an emergency

Well the only way I know is by testing ammonia and nitrites. I always use a ammonia badge which is my first indicator something is a miss. My badge says 0 ammonia and my test kit says .25 right now so there are some water changes in my future. I use TLC Startsmart to start the cycle off. Nitrites are at .25 also

They have a huge Conspic for a good price too.

He had a trio at one point. The believed to be male was roughing up one of the females though. I know he separated the female, maybe that's still the pair minus the bullied female?

I'm going there Wednesday, I'll be sure to ask. Curious to see the conspic as well. I want to pair the one I have in QT now, but was holding out for a smaller one....

Dmorty, sorry not trying to distract from your thread. I didn't know you were in this area? Very cool. PM me if you ever want to talk fish, always like seeing more hobbiests in my area...
