Bandit angel and crosshatch trigger experiences

No worries on going off topic here, anything fish related works for me! I'm not really in the area but I'm 4.5 hrs from Chicago and about the same distance from Lisle. I'm going to make a trip there this summer

I've had mine for a while now. I don't believe they are bonded but tolerate each other. They came into the country together and have enjoyed each other's company at the wholesaler and fishshop.

I had tried to pair them up before but proved difficult as they don't come in into the country too often and when they do are fairly large or small and expensive. I don't do anything special for them apart from feeding them a mix of RS mysis, PE mysis, omega, garlic and spirulina brine, dried algae and running the temp slightly lower.

Here's a quick video of them

They are all born female.Getting a smaller one should make sure the larger turns male if not already (depending on size). The rock work is beautiful, along with the Anthias and Bandits.

Don't believe so. But the story is the diver caught the three together,as a harem. Thus him calling them a bonded trio/harem. Neat tank BTW, really a fan of the branch rock...

Thanks

Excited for you and jealous. A crosshatch pair is my dream addition. Good luck.

Sorry if you say earlier on in the thread, but where did you buy them from?

Adrian @ SaltyAquaria.com, Rufus catches the fish that Adrian sells. They also work together at the local fire department. Free shipping over 600$ and 14 day guarantee. I plan on buying any fish I can from them when I stock the 625g late this summer if this goes as planned... They have had the fish in their care now for 6 weeks so I feel reassured since they have been in captivity for a month and a half.

Sorry if this is a bit of a hijack, but does Adrian take requests? There are a few wrasses I'm looking for but having a hard time finding anyone with them in stock.

Awesome can't wait to see them :)

Also interested in your luck with Bandits, will be the first (maybe only) angel that goes in our tank. Going to go through QT, then a trial period in a frag tank before going into the display...

One of our Crosshatches finally has started getting darker and it's yellow fins are more pronounced. Tail is still yellow though!

Got the fish this am and acclimated for 40 mins or so. They were packed great! Bagged 6-8 times and covered in a black trash bag in the box. Box weighed 31lbs. Fish are out and swimming. Will post pics later or tomorrow when I turn on the light.
