Thanks Rob I feel like I can sleep at night knowing the Bandit is eating and seems to have acclimated to the tank well. The crosshatch is still very shy and hides in a cave when I walk within 5ft of the tank... If I stay further away everything is fine. Not sure if the crosshatch is eating yet since he is being gun shy
What size Bandit did you get? Are you going to try to put some coral in with him and see if he has any interest?
Our Crosshatches started eating right away. Think they were hungry off the plane and started by eating the Potter's Angel's fins first
Just fed them brine, Mysis and rods while in QT. Also added Selcon, might have helped.
The Bandit was 4". Im not adding coral until the 625g is up and running but it makes little difference to me if the Bandit nips or eats some corals... They just won't be in the tank! I plan on adding way more fish than corals to the 625g so the fish win no question. I have food soaked in selcon and vitachem. Im going to try some not soaked in food when I get home tonight.
Dmorty217, just curious, what other fish to you intend to add to the 625g? Do you have a set stock plan? More large angels? Butterflies? More triggers?
Jealous.
All Yellow Tail Damsels!
Thunder Dome!
200 Damsels enter, 1 Damsel leaves...
Pairs of everything I add, which will be more angels and butterflies for sure and a few tangs probably too. Achilles, blonde nasos and purples are on the top of my list... Would love a Polyzona (zebra) tang too but there is no way Im spending 1200$ on one. No real set stock list but lots of angels and some butterflies. I really like Eppie sharks, but other members on the stock list don't make great tank mates with sharks
Hope we can find you (and me) a Zebra sooner than later.
Have feelers all over the place.
Have you thought about an Achilles and Achilles Hybrid? Thinking of doing both here...
I was at reefwise Wednesday. Brian just had a 2" zebra and has another small one, along with two gems on the way....
