sorry jarhead i dont think his dad would approve of you. he is retired navy. he eats jarheads for lunch and dinner.

just messing with ya. but his dad really is a retired navy, so i dont think its a good mesh.

Actually, jarheds and squids are a GREAT mesh! Been working successfully together for 231 years! :D

absolutely huge!!! if only my house was as large as the tank so my growing family could have space to move about w/o bumping each other!!!!

on a serious note. where does all the water change water go? is the house on sewer or septic??:eek2:

I don't think that there is going to that many big water changes. The bigger the system the less water changes you need. Having seen what Bill has done on his current tank, filtration, and keeping the water stable with calcium, alk, mag, etc will be well thought out.

Need Input Steph.. annn.. eeee

I am late to this thread, thought I would send a pic of a 'small" industrial skimmer from Solar, for those impressed with the pics of this system's skimmers. (keep in mind that the skimmer on the right is the smallest industrial skimmer by Solar at 400 GPM!)

thanks raymond45, attempted to do that myself, I would like to see their largest skimmer. One of these skimmers would probably double his water volume! However, one might ask why you would want to turn over your water volume in your skimmer every two minutes!

its rayman45 lol
alot of people get it confused.. LOL

its easy to post the pic

you jusr right-click(the picture) and go to properties

then when u post click add image

with such an inefficient design as the solar skimmers bill may as well just do water changes. that is old school technology. his new skimmers use efficient, and modern technology.

You mean one cannot move a thousand gallons of water a minute cost effectively? When looking at the pics, didn't focus on the design, I was just curious to why they didn't find a more attractive model!

I'll bet Bills skimmer will blow that big one out of the water! After following his buildup on the last one that commercial one doesn't stand a chance!
