I wasn't sure what your plans were for the doorway leading to the back of the tank. It seems like you might get a buildup of heat in the winter time from the furnace. However, this might not be too bad if it gets cold down there in the winter time.

Let us know when you need help putting the tank in.

My fish room is shared with the a/c furnace and there are some +'s and some -'s. When the hvac is being used it gets the benefit of heat or cool from the unit which I "think" is a help in the summer even over being on concrete floor. With a gas furnace it may produce extra CO or CO2 but I've not seen any pH effects from it. There is a humidity issue. Our a/c coil was changed last year when we had a bigger outside unit istalled but the a/c guy mentioned corrosion damage occurring inside the main housing. Also I've noticed that duct work seems to get condensation on it so you may get some dripping on the ceiling. One way to avoid that or lessen it would be to run a dehumidifier in there with it as well.

To the contrary Steve, I DID go over there just to make sure he was doing it right!

I've never done it before but I'm just such a "know it all" that I just had to tell him how.
