Hurry up already. 
On my tank,which has the 20" Synergy overflow,one goes direct to the sump,one is the emergency and one feeds refugium,skimmer and calcium reactor off of a manifold.It is dead quiet and handles flow easily.Gate valve to sump has to be micro adjusted as Mike said,but once you have it dialed in it works like a charm.

This is what Synergy recommends I do.
"You can tie all of them together, so you will have just 3 pipes coming to the sump. So primary to primary, secondary to secondary, emergency to emergency. Do NOT reduce them down to 1". Keep it 1.5" all the way down. If you reduce it you will have to run them all separately. Then you can put a gate valve under each box on the primary drains. This will allow you to dial in each box to be quiet. "

I got 6 buckets of IO today for half price! 
BRS has their colored pvc on sale today as well so I ordered some.
3/4" Gray pipe with Blue fittings for the returns.
1 1/2" Blue pipe with Gray fittings for the drains.

Here are some of the new toys? Sorry not much of an update.
2 Vectra M1s, 3 x MP40QDs, a couple Vertex media reactors, 48" controllable led for under the tank, and a AquaMaxx C0 5 with Avast Marine Skimmate Locker.

Too answer your question, here the multi swirl with the rimless / eurobrace bracket. The tank has 3/4" euro brace acrylic splash guard all around so I'll just mount them that way.

I am looking for a CaRx Regulator recommendation. Anyone? Are the Aquarium Plants ones still pretty good? I don't need it atm but I will at some point. The tank will start out with the GHL Doser 2.
If anyone has a new one they didn't end up using I'd be interested. I've got equipment to trade or cash.
