Looks great!
Awesome aquascape, now time for corals.
Thanks Mario. I want the tank to go through the diaton and algae bloom before I add corals. Need to get the ATI programmed for a regular lighting schedule. I havent been running the light this whole time. Should have time today to get the leds setup. I need to order t5 lamps this week.
Let me know when you decide to go bb again.. I have tricks!
Tricks? Whats up your sleeve?

All 5 fish are eating in QT.

c isosceles
c brunneus
m meleagris (large female)
m bipartitus (mid change to male)
Zebrasoma desjardini

I'm going to give them a couple more days to get their bellies full and I'll start the general cure.

I also ordered the T5 lamps finally.
6x ATI Blue Plus, 1x ATI Purple Plus, and 1x Giesemann Aquablue Azure.

Looks great, what size tank are you using for QT? Is it a 29?

And what media is that in the bottom of the tank.

Its about 20 gallons. Its an acrylic true vue aquarium I picked up a while back. Its 36" long, maybe 12" wide? The media is some ceramic rings I had from another filter. Just something for the bacteria to colonize. Also have a small hob with a filter pad and that sponge filter with the maxijet attached to it. Heater and temp probe for the Reef Keeper light controller. Some PVC for the fish to hide, and a cup of sand for the two leopards.

I do need another cup of sand as they don't seem to want to share the one cup. But its only been a couple of days.

Cool thanks for the response, I've got a fish struggling in quarantine right now (5 gallon) and I'm upgrading to a 10 gallon as it's all i've got space for and I was thinking of what else I could do to make it comfortable.

Cody, What does the general cure consist of? Are you treating with copper?
Im not gonna run copper unless I see ich on a new purchase. General cure treats for a variety of infections. Less harsh then prazi from what Ive been told. Especially for wrasses.

An ammonia badge is also a good thing to add as well.

Yea I've not had a chance to pick one up. I've been testing daily and doing water changes every other day. Also feeding every other day. Doing my best to keep salinity and temperature identical. So far I haven't seen above .2ppm ammonia and PH is at 8.4.

Do these diseases listed on general cure take a long time to materialize? I would have thought a 3-4 week QT alone would allow them time to rear their ugly head.

That I'm not sure off. Flukes can be hard to see. Not always on the fins where you can see them. I'm just trying to be proactive and not waste money on fish dying. The yellow had what looked like a bacterial infection behind its fin and went away after two rounds.

Mainly I want to get the fish in QT eating, the GC is more of a prophylactic treatment whether I see an issue or not.

Got it! I have been doing 5 minute freshwater dips with a little malachite green thrown in for good measure. I did QT a few fish but not all of them.

I finally made a skimmer stand out of acrylic. Scrap from Paragon Plastics... 1 inch rod and some weld on. The Aquamaxx CO5 is pulling some tea colored skimmate atm. So far so good. The skimmer is fairly quiet considering the size.

Looks like its all coming together nicely. Such a nice build all around. Did you consider a Geisseman Pure Actinic bulb? They provide a nice flouresence.
