Here's what I don't understand. Seh's so cute and you're so ugly. How does something like that happen?

Your tank is looking amazing. I am interested in learning about the expanded PVC you are using.. is it easily damaged? Does it warp? How cost effective is it?

I installed a Phillips Hue Hub and LED strip for under the tank. We need one more for the other side. Alex approved the color.

That is nice build... wonder how much you needed for this kind of system so envy

Lol

So far is holding up well under sump. Well except when I dripped some pvc glue on it hehe

The skin is so so... I scratched it up on my table saw trying to cut the skin panels.

If you get some, just have paragon plastics cut it to size for you. I did that with the blue pieces under the sump and it's nice and clean. I haven't noticed any warping at all. I think it was 60 bucks for the blue sheet. Cleans easy and looks cool. :)

That's a good idea

So I have had the calcium reactor running since Friday night. My alkalinity started at 6.8dkh, and has slowly come up to 7.3. Its been 7.3 for a couple days now. I plan to continue to test every day this week and see where I end up before I make any adjustments. I really don't have a demand in the tank but I am starting to get coralline on the back glass.

The effluent is at full stream. I've got about 1 bubble every 2 to 3 seconds. 2nd Stage is at about 15psi. So far so good.

I need some coral but I need a programmer first for the ATI PowerModule lights. Ugh that is next on my list. Anyone have the ATI PowerModule Hybrid that I can call if I run into issues?

Oh and the 3 Bimac and 1 Sunset Anthias will be out of QT on Sunday. Any suggestions on fish? I'm not looking for tangs atm.

So far I have-

2x Yellow Tangs
1x Blue Hippo Tang
2x Clowns (Premium Picasso & Midnight)
1x Forktail Fang Blenny
1x Striped Fang Blenny

1x Bimac Anthias

I haven't seen the Rainford Goby for a couple of weeks now but he hides a lot... not sure if Dead or Alive.

I finally had someone help me take my light down so I could install the T5s. I didn't try it before I rehung it. Guess what? Two lamps are out. I'm hoping its just the lamps are bad, or they are not seated properly. I'm really hoping its not a ballast. Moral of the story, try the light before you hang it back up to ensure everything is working. DOH!

I'm tryin to decide if I should buy two more 80w lamps, before I take the fixture down again. Anyone have any new lamps lying around they want to sell? Blue Plus is my preference but open to other options.

Had same issue with mine for a channel - try taking out the bulbs not working and putting them back in, one must have been seated incorrectly.

Can't you just tilt it to access, instead of taking fixture down?

Thanks I'll give that a shot. My tank being tall and 72" long its pretty difficult to reach over the tank. I had the fixture hanging without the shield and couldn't even slide the shield back in while its hanging. Its a tight fit, I gave up after trying multiple times. Its cool I'll just take it down again hehe just needed to vent.

Do you have the 8 lamp version? Any idea which lamps are on which ballast? Are there two lamps per ballast, so 4 ballasts total?

Yeah mine is 72" x 36" wide, also the 8 bulb fixture. I recruited my wife to help me. I do have space on all sides and no canopy, just hanging fixture so maybe i have more room to work with than you. I recall I looked the ballast config up on their website or YouTube video - do not remember off the top of my head. I remember being scared it was a ballast issue too. But I simply took out and put back all the bulbs that were not turning on, then it worked. So hopefully same for you!

Also FYI: the only other issue I've had with this fixture are the connections in the black box that control the fan. Fans stopped kicking on with the lights and was due to a loose connection. So I simply opened the box, reconnected, and fixed them securely in place. Had bought it used from another local Reefer and all good now - been about a year.

Thanks for the tips. I may pm you down the road as I don't know anyone else with this fixture. I programmed the lights on the controller itself. Curious if you used the ATI program on your computer? I've got a reefing buddy stopping by after work... crossing fingers its just the lamps.

So both of the lamps, 5 and 6, that are on the same ballast were both bad. What are the odds but good news it wasn't a ballast. Phew! I need to order a couple more lamps and I should be in business.

I also got two more quarantine tanks at Petco. 20 gallon long. I want one more and will get a rack at HD. I'm going to set them up in the garage so it hopefully won't take a year to stock the tank. :)
