Beautiful Specimen or Good Picture?

38bill, all of the p. lineopunctatus I've ever seen have been the dark red color like in the DD picture, including the one I currently have (not from DD). I bet yours will return to the darker red after it gets acclimated to your tank.

That wasn't hard, that's my soft, fuzzy side. A little sarcasm too. Keeping my seldom seen "hard' side hidden was tough on that post-----but I did.

So you keep a blind eye from all that blue/actinic color in that pic?
Thats ok with you?

Actually, I dont need to ask, the way i see your posts even if LA will post a pic of a fish microwaved you'll be cool with it.

That fish is nice enough not to be pictured under that intense Blue light as shown in the other thread.

All that cynicism would be hard on anyone.

DD is a business, not a non-profit source for SW fish hobbyists, and they are very up-front about their lighting. Like any company, they are going to use the best light, camera, photographer, background, etc. when photographing fish. With all the lighting options, what should they do? If they used T-5 lighting, I suppose someone with MH or LED light would complain. But you're right, I'm a big fan of all the F&S companies and I seem to have a lot of company.

If I see an ad for a Brooks Brothers suit: I assume they have the best photographer, lighting, background; tailoring and pretty-boy model. I don't expect the suit to look as good on me as it does in the ad; but I expect the ad to be a fair representation of what I'm buying. (Actually, I expect to look better than the guy in the ad.)

I actually meant the pic of the new owner.
I understand DD is taking pic under 20K MH.
The new owner must take pics under intense blue flourecent lights, Im telling from the surrounding of the fish. (unless the tank is 40meters deep :D ).

I dont think your Brooks Brothers suit is a good example nor any picture made for clothes etc.
These are live fish at a WYSIWYG section, pics should be more real in my opinion.
I feel like taking the good old D200 from the closet, didnt use it for ages and show you what a pretty old cam can do with a couple of actinic + blue lamps.
I will show you my Gem Tang with bright blue spots, will u buy it from me as such?
i bet you would, but what will happen when you get it?
And again, im talking just a camera and lighting, no photo shop etc.

In any case, i just tell u my opinion, obviously you like LA, maybe a little biased, or more than a little , but in any case, I dont care, im not even from America.

Good weekend everybody.

I'm sorry you don't live in America, we'd welcome a fellow hobbyist! And, because LA can't ship internationally, you could buy from them! You have a good weekend too.
