Its been about a month since your last post do you have any updates on your tank? How's it looking?

I've enjoyed your thread here. I am thinking of doing a smaller than 5.5gal for my desk at work. Your thread has been a little inspirationaly.

Hey guys. Sorry, I've been busy as hell with senior year/applying to colleges. Looks like either Virginia Tech or Miami (OH) so far.

Everything in my tank is working out well. My leather has grown and I've found my brain coral's feeder tentacles (only problem is that my shrimp thinks it's fun to grab the food from the coral, is this dangerous?)

I'll post some updated pictures tomorrow. Hopefully you all are still interested.

Awww, the brain coral looks like crap today and everything is kind of sluggish. This happens every once in awhile, but hopefully things will look better tomorrow ;)
 
Ya college time is fun isnt it. Just wanted to say you inspired me to start up a 5.5 the other day. I wanna throw together a nice looking hood/base like yours and make it a frag tank for my 7g. Anyways keep up the awesome work man
 
just read the whole thing, wonderful!!!! I have been wanting to do a 10 gallon for a while. I hope you can take it to school with ya so you don't have to get rid of something like that. One of the best reads yet. Hope to see updates as it fills out.
 
Thanks guys. It would be nice to take to school, definately. My brain coral is just now starting to get back, it keeps looking like its going to split but it never does.

Thanks guys. The sinularia is continuing to bend with the current, but it seems to like it, does this make sense?

Post some pics as well here, I rearranged some stuff today so I'll have to snap a pic tomorrow.

ben its been more than a week.... updates...updates!!!
Ive been lurking for a long time and this is my first post :) Anyway, your tank inspired me to start a pico, I'll post a new thread to soak up on some advice and suggestions from the great community here.
Now...updates......... updates!!!!
 
Ben, I haven't checked in for a while. Your last pics look great - the tank is coming along nicely! Nice coraline growth so far. How are your calc, alk and mag readings?
 
Ben I wanted to thank you for helping me kill 1.5 hours at work ... I've been reading your thread for that long and soon I get to go home :]

By the way your tank looks pretty good ... I laughed at your first budget heheh ... this is one of those hobbies you unfortunately can't cheap out on whether you want it or not. Also I can't believe no one caught your mistake of forgetting a snail guard! Everyone was probably too antsy for more updates :P I swear some of these people on RC pfff GO BACK TO WORK ;) :lol:
