berghia nudi's

Before I place an online order for these nudi's, I was wondering if anyone is breeding these things locally? would like to either order or pick up a few tomorrow.

Andy, where are you ordering from? I might want some....split shipping? (Alternatively, if you get yours to breed, I'll buy some off you...)

Vince your on. How many did you want if I do order? reefready isn't so ready, they don't have any available right now. I'm going to order from saltyunderground. $15 each. If we order 8 or more its no box charge. I'm probably going to get 4. Once my 4 are done eating all the aptasia, I'll donate 2 to a club member who has the most aptasia. Then we can continue to pass it around. I have a few aptasia but not enough to sustain this many berghias.

Well vince I'm about to order. You got 15 min to let me know how many you want. Theres a potential I can cover the shipping. I'm placing my order at 1:45pm and will have the nudi's by tomorrow (ie you need to get it from me by tomorrow.) I'm in San Francisco.

Hi Andy, I was thinking of only getting 2, since I have a fair amount of aiptasia, and I know they will always regenerate (since they are in the overflow, the sump, the tank, etc, etc) maybe 3, in the hopes that maybe they would reproduce. If nobody else wants in on it, I guess I can push it to 4, as I'd rather spend money on actual nudibranchs, versus a box charge! What's the shipping like?

Ok I just placed my order but it looks like they won't ship out till next week. Probably thursday. So for anyone who wants a berghia from me and don't want to pay shipping heres what I need.

1. $15 each berghia, paypal in advance including paypal fee's.. Add 4% for credit card transfers. (I think its 4% but just to be safe, 4%)
2. I will not hold your berghias for you overnight. You need to pick them up next Thursday when they arrive in San Francisco. If you don't pick them up on thrusday and if they die, you are not getting a refund from me.

I'm order from saltyunderground.com. If you need anything else feel free to add it to the order . The above applies. PM me if you actually do want to order. Basically I'll be covering the shipping cost. saltyunderground has about 30 or 40 berghias left so if you want in, nows the time to get it.

Er, OK. I assume you ordered 8 then? Put me in for at least 2. I'll pick up the other 2 if nobody else wants in on it.

(missed you by 10 minutes!) Stupid work!

I didn't sell any of them. Those that wanted it had to pre-pay. I'll tell you what Nicholas, when my nudi's are done with the aptasias and they are still alive I'll give you 2 of them (i ordered 4 for myself). I'll probably keep 2 of them to ensure they totally eradicated all aptasias.

Yeah, it would be nice if we could proliferate them locally. I'm surprised that Reefready didn't have any, I remember him saying he was going to breed them!

Caring for and acclimating them seems like a bit of production, according to what I've read.

Yeah, it would be nice if we could proliferate them locally.

You can, you just need a supply of food (aiptasia) for them to feast on :) I'd guess as they tend to multiply keeping aiptasia might be more problematic (as funny as that sounds)

Well I just got my Berghias from Lisa from Saltyunderground and I must say she is very good at customer service. Not only did she track the package for me, but called fedex when problems came up. She even called fedex to have them come back to my location after a missed delivery before I even realized I missed the package! If anyone is gonna order any Berghia, I'd order from them. Awesome customer service!

Now that you have some, you can do a trade! :-)

Best of luck,

Hey Andyman, any update on how the Berghia are doing? I have a nasty aiptasia outbreak and my peppermints are veeeerrrry lazy.

My $60 of berghias are all dead. They didn't even make it out of their quarantine container. I think I should have let them out sooner, though one website (that sells them) said you could keep them in containers for a long time. I don't know if I'll try again.
