does anyone know anything about JEBO lighting or Odyssea? if im searching for a 110 watt pc could i use those or would an AGA or coralife fixture be best? the light would soley be for a bubble tip and maybe tree corals or mushrooms?
What tank you want to put these lights on ? It is important for the tank to be shallow enough - deeper the tank => stronger and more penetrating lights you need to have with parabolic reflectors to reach deep into the water column.

I disagree with GSMguy on his statement about bubble tip anemone. As I stated before I keep one happy bubbletip under two 96W power compacts for couple of years in a 30 gallons AGA tank - recently (less than a year ago) switched to 58 gallons Oceanic. Anemone takes position in the lower part of my tank -> which only means it is happy with the amount of light it is receiving down there...

thats twice as much light than the 110watt jebo but your right it can be done im not argueing i can tell you it is going to grow much better now that you are upgrading pszemol
There is a huge difference beetween alive and thrive

kayadad is on to something with the aquamedic unit they are nice good price too thats what made me chose the aquamedics price

It all depends on how tall is the tank, how the tubes are spread over its surface and what kind of reflector is in place. Wattage is not enough to judge, especially when we have no idea what tank TFWChad has on his mind.

you cannot be sure, you do not know my anemone :)

How many anemones have you kept and for how long ? Just curious... :)

This is what we should start from!
45 gallons is 36" x 12" x 24" H. Too tall tank for so small 110W light fixture.
You should be looking for a lamp with at least 96W x 36" long power compacts there, bur 24" tall tank might need stronger lights.

I had succesfully kept anemone under power compacts but my tak was shallow 30 gallon: 36" x 12" x 16" and I had 2 tubes 96W each. You have 8 inches more height to deal with it.

In my opinion such a tall tank will probably require HQI. Or, with weaker light I would give up the anemones thing and make it less light seahorses tank or something like that.

to answer your question ive kept 3 anemones two bubbletips and a long tentacle the long tentacle was in my 29 for about 9 months under pc lighting it got too big so i gave it to a buddy with a 180gallon and 400w halides within a month it doubled in size. the whole time in my tank it was straining to right under the pc bulbs
the bubble tips i have been moving back and fourth from halide to pc and they expand bettter and look much nicer under more light
anemones come from shallow areas on the reef and in tidal areas they need intense lighting
reccomended lights for all anems is always t5 or halide thats from the scientists over in the clown and anemone forum

it also takes much longer to recover an anemone under pc
same with clams ive seen them under pc but they dont seem to last long
there is a big difference here with these types of lighting

pzemol seems like you have your head wrapped the right way around this what would be the light you would get if you could have any?
