Best algae eating inverts? High nitrates as well.

What do you recommend for my 46g reef tank which is high in nitrates and also has algae growing all over the place? I need something fairly aggressive to get along with my yellow fin damsel, tomato clown, spotted hawk, and false perc.

What sort of algae? Tripneustes gracilis urchin eats just about every sort including caulerpa, and he does it down to bare rock without damaging corals.

Before you put anything in there to consume the nuisance algae.. I recommend fixing your water parameters first... unchanged your just going to hurt the new inhabitants and continue to grow the bad algae..

Most algae eaters... are not good with high nitrates and will perish..

ceriths, trochus, turbos and astrea combos...... recommended..
