Best CO2 Regulator?

Just got one from Ebay Aquatek and already my solenoid is busted. It won't stop. Should I just replace the whole unit or replace the solenoid?

What do you guys use? I need a reliable one.

thanks,

Best unit is the electronic regulator on the market is from aquariumplants.com.

It has a computer that controls the bubble rate, and it never deviates from that. The electronic regulator also doesn't need a solenoid, since it essentially is one.

I would also look at reef fanatic regulators rock solid and great support. I have the electronic aquarium plants regulator and yes its pretty cool there are a couple of things that I'm not in love with.

1. Customer support is well pretty bad, mine broke within the first week sent it back and it took four weeks for them to get it back to me

:(

2. I can get the secondary pressure past about 12lbs even with the regulator turned all the way up. Would like more control to get even higher pressure if I would like it. Not the end of the world but something to be aware of.

That all being said its a pretty cool little device it flashes a red led as it counts away the bubbles to your reactor, very cool. Its unfortunate that the customer support isn't as cool as the product.

Jason,

According to some of the posts that i've read you only need about 8.5 lbs of pressure. I guess this is depending on you tank size.

If you set this on a PH controller, do you set the PH to be at 8.2 before shutting down the CO2 tank?

Donn't get me wrong 10lbs or 8lbs of pressure is enough to drive most reactors. Just would like more.

If I had to do it over again I probably would choose Reef Fanatic regulator, almost the same price, with reef fanatic about thirty dollars cheaper.
