Im curious where i should place my ORA red planet / garf bonzai / palmers milli / Carolinia

Lighting- 250w 14k phoenix / 2- 65w PC bulbs. Lights sit 4" above the water line
Tank-40g breeder

The ORA Red Planet is currently sitting 10" right below the lights. Very deep red, very little green. My other ORA red planet is 12" below the lights, and off centered about 4". Very Red / Deep Green. High Flow for the both

My GARF Bonzai is sitting 13-1/2" below the lights, and about 2" off to the side. Looks very happy, but only the tips are deep purple. The base is more white? Indirect medium-high flow. Looks very happy.

Palmers Milli is about 14" below the lights, and 2" off center. Its more of a purple then a blue, PE is insane. This one looks like its the happiest of all. High flow.

The Carolina is 10" deep and 3" off center from the light. It looked much happier when i got it. PE is almost non existant, coloration is quite yellow.

Any imput would be great! Thanks guys!!

what color are you looking for from you RP? The bright pink or the deep red/green?
For my GARF Bonsai, i get much deeper purple as it grows away from the light, and in the parts that were shaded by another coral.
My Palmers, before i knocked it behind my rockwork was up high getting blasted by light, and loving it.
I don't have Caroliniana, but i do have another yellow deepwater, its 14-16" below the lights, holding color nicely.
My tank is light by ATI T5 fixture which sits 6-8" above the water on 25" tall tank.

I keep my caroliniana in the upper half of my tank, high light and high flow. It has kept its fluorescent yellow so far. As far as the red planet goes most prefer the green base and deep red on them which you will get in lower light.

Ya my Carolina is sitting in med flow / higher lighting. The polyps arent out very often and it might be possible that its because of the low flow so i might kick it to another spot.

Are you keeping your deepwater in high flow?

As for the GARF i figured that was the case, its already encrusted on my rocks so ill wait for the one above it to shade it a little more :)

I want to get the green out of the RP, i have 2 so im going to toss one low and keep one high. haha

My deepwater is in med- high flow.
For the RP, I would see how low you could keep it, or off to the side so it gets mainly indirect light.

Where are you keeping yous at?
approx 12" distance from a 150w ushio 20k bulb. thought it was bleaching so i lowered it to the bottom and it got its green back within a week. then saw other pics of it with white and raised it back up and now its gettin its white back.
