best spot for my anemone

I have had my anemone for about nine months. It keeps moving. He can't seem to find a spot that he is happy. The other day I found him upside down in the bottom of the tank. I did get him to reattached and he ate tonight. He attached to a small piece of rock. We have a 70 gallon tank and are running 330 VHO lights. Where would be the ideal place to put him in the tank. Any suggestions.

Try putting it where it can put it's foot in a crevice, near the middle of the tank. But most of the time they will move where they want to.

what kind of anemone do you have?

Yep, really can't give much help with out knowing what type it is. For example, an LTA prefers the sandbed where as a BTA prefers a rock crevice.

Sorry, I changed my email and didn't realize I had to verify everything, so I was locked out. Anyway, I believe I have a Sebae. I was also an unknown buyer and bought this beautiful white and purple anemone. I have had it for about nine months. It has never changed color. But it always hides under rocks. So I don't know if it is getting enought light.

Sounds like a bleached sebae.
Should prefer sand bottom, unless light is weak, but 330w on a 70 should be cool as long as bulbs are good.
What do you have for flow?
Can you post pics and give more specs, params?

I don't know a lot about our setup, that is my husband. I can tell you we just did a water check and everything was fine. I know the bulbs are about six months old. As far as flow, I know we have two small power heads in two corners of the tank and they are pointed toward the center. I will try to post some pictures today. He actually looks a lot better today. Slightly larger than yesterday. He still has not opened up completely and is still so small, about the size of the tip of my thumb.
