I live in Cecil and we only got about. I was up at 7 spring last night and was expecting to get dumped on but, I don't think they didn't get much more than we did.

Only reason I know where Cecil is, is I have a friend who is from there.

As for me, I'm in Weirton and we got about 2 inches or so Friday, slush on top of that all day Saturday, enough to cover the roads again saturday night and now it's been snowing all day today. I was really looking forward to the 5-12 inch range they were calling for here.

:( I hope it gets better soon!! I'm expecting a shipment from Saltwater fish this week prob should have waited but the gift certificate was burning a hole im my tank LOL!!

I definitely prefer snow to this sleet/rain/ice garbage. I am from Mn- keep waiting for a real winter here in Gibsonia. Cant stand this grey all the time - need some sun!!!!

Welcome to western PA. I heard once that we get less sun than Seattle does. Sure seems like 2 of every 3 days are overcast :) My wife's family is from Minnesota, and when we went up to visit 3 winters ago, I couldn't believe all the snow, it was great.

As of today, it's freezing cold and I have a Scribbled Angel from diver's den that's been on the Fed Ex truck since before 8 this morning. I thought I'd paid for overnight priority, but just realized this morning they only charged me for fedex standard overnight. Hopefully it gets here before too long and all is fine.

Who needs sun when you have Reef lighting.....

I acutally got much more snow from the storm last night than we did for the big one they predicted for last week.

Probably had 3 inches.

Any updates Mandy?

indeed. I had to drive up the road not even 1/4 a mile to meet the Fed Ex guy because he said he didn't think he could make it down to my house. I have 4 wheel drive but didn't need it to get up the hill. Scribbled Angel is doing great, and is eating heartily. The water was exceptionally cold, smelly and cloudy so I got it into the tank as fast as I could, going against my normal drip acclimation and instead just temp acclimated her and filled the bag with water from my tank and let it sit for a little longer and dumped. They apparently hadn't starved her before shipping so the bag was full of some poo. Heartily eating NLS pellets, frozen mysis and squid plus Nori.

oh and we got another few inches of snow and it's really cold out. Froze my little fingers off picking up a tank today.

I just wanted to add we keep getting and getting snow. The original still has not melted and now we have almost a foot....

yep -it is like Mn winter this past week - me and my big mouth!!! Cafe full what you wish or pray for. Although my sinuses feel a lot better than when we get the rainy 40 degree stuff we usually get.

I gotta add my .02

I worked midnights last week ( I should say I work in Wampum, between N.C. and Beaver Falls, and live 15 mi. south of Clarion)

So, 6:30 sat. morning, at work, there was only about 2" on the ground so I headed home............the further I went the worse it got......I put my car in a ditch just after Chicora on rt 68. They had about 10" there...I got a ride home where we had 12"..YUK!!!!!!!

It's snowed since then and we were up to about 15", only to wake up this morning to 6 more!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daylight this week so I shovel the drive before leaving for work only to come home to more!!!! It's at 22" on the picnic table in the yard...............................................
..............................
I'm gonna go buy a snow blower so it stops snowing!!!!!!!!

haha. It does seem to happen that way doesn't it. So much for this whole global warming thing Al Gore keeps spoutin off at the mouth about. :D Was working til 11PM last night and my drive home took me twice as long as normal. Going up the hills my speedometer was reading 50 and I know I wasn't topping 25 MPH, so fooled the car into some extra milage I never actually put on it. Oh well...at least it didn't wind up in a ditch :)

Lol..about the ditch....thanx

Al Gore needs to get all the facts before he spouts off, there's more ice formation now than there was 20 years ago.....I mean when I read the report it said something like 3,700 cubic acres more ice now than in 1987. That's a bunch of ice...no wonder there's more melt off when it warms up.....DUH!!!!!

They only tell us what they want us to hear!

Most people can make statistics lie to fit whatever agenda they want. The thing that really cracks me up is that he wants people living in 3rd world countries to stop chopping the rainforests when that's what they have to do to feed their families. They have no reason to be worried about the world 50 years from now when they are worrying about tomorrow. Maybe if we gave them some incentive like, oh I don't know, maybe some of that food that we pay our farmers not to grow?
