Dear All,

Wanted to start my new reef tank.
Needed help with the dimensions first.

Should I go with 4 ( L) 3 (B) 2 (H) = 164 gallons

OR

6 ( L) 2 ( B ) 2 (H) = 164 gallons

I intend to keep anemones, soft corals and LPS.

Allow me to join the club.

With the 4x3x2, it is actually closer to around 200g. The aquascaping possibilities are far greater with a wider tank. You could also light it with only 2 MH and maybe a retro t5 setup. Where as with the longer, narrower tank, you would need 3 MH to get good coverage. Etiher way there are great tanks of each size on this site.

if reef is your sole priority,go for the former...
4x3x2 will give you better depth and more freedom to experiment with rock-structure...

Thanks all.
Ordered the glass for the cuboid.

I will have a 2" coral sand bed in the display with a DSB in the sump.
The stand would be steel and powder coated.

Lets start.
Request all to help me.
It will be completely DIY

Regards
