Bio load question

My yellow tang isn't eating my ha.
Wanna give him away. ...to lessen bio load.

Can i assume his load is about equal to 3 cherub Angels or 6 small damsels..?

Bigger the fish more they produce waste right?

Pls share ur thoughts.

No not 3 Cherub Angels. Cherub Angels as well as the YT are grazers and as such eat constantly and constantly poop. My Cherub Angel poops out 4x what my Percula Clown pair does LOL

So you can have a larger fish that isn't a grazer that produces less waste. All depends on their eating habits.

Tangs won't generally touch hair algae as well...

We have some GHA and our tangs couldn't be bothered with the stuff...

Weird thing is my yt did eat ha when i got him. Then my dt matured and ha stopped. All the fish got used to my feeding them daily fish food and NORI etc.

Now I'm getting ha and he lost his interest. Even starving him didn't help. He became thin and i was worried since he wasn't active like before. So now I've started back to feed daily.

Weird.

Other than sea hare is there a fish that will definitively eat ha?

Fox Face is a rabbit fish, full grown it's the smallest of all of them. Do not buy any of the others as they will get bigger than the One Spot Fox Face and require larger tanks than what you have

When i posted the first post i removed the yellow tang. Added a chaeto fuge. Now HA is almost gone. I now have pair of royal gramma, cherub angel and yt damsel in my 75.

I'm getting a clown wrasse and yellow assessor from a tank breakdown.
My guess is they only have minimal bio load/low metabolism.

Am i correct? Is it a good idea to add them. ..my total volume is 90g incl sump and 2 fuges.

Thanks
