oh we do understand each other ,the eel will have a home here till he can find a new one .
the teeth that broke off were his front teeth and he will have no problem eating in the future .eels often break the ends of there teeth off when eating especially in the wild where its a battle to get a meal .here in my tank i often see teeth shimmering on the sand after feedings .
solRNY ,nice link as i did not know about the inner "mouth",that is really cool . the eel bit me on the wrist and never got flesh in between his teeth rather he only made two points of entry about 2 inches apart . he simply was testing out the meal and quickly found out it was a bit on the large side .still think there is a tooth piece in one wound as there is a very hard pin like something in there .
