BK's 110 Gallon Build

Looking good BK! Now I'm kicking myself for not setting up the rock work in a similar manner when I had it. :headwalls:

How about in 10 years we trade tanks and you have this one and its awesome scape? Haha.

To be honest with you it's turning out to be a pain to place corals. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to keep anything on the upper 3rd of the right side. The light is too intense. Maybe time to plan my LED build.

Hmm. I think I'll pass on that trade.

That top 3rd is where the acros go! ;)

Did I mention that I went to the dark side a couple weeks ago and bought two used MP10's?

I loved the Jebao WP-40's but two of them were just too much flow even when set at 50%. I came across the two MP10's on the for sale forum and decided it would be a good idea to just try them. They were freshly rebuilt so I figured the noise should not be too bad.

They came in the mail and sure enough they were loud. Too loud for me but the flow is perfect. Not too much and not too direct. The settings on them however stink. Compared to the WP40's they really don't have too many choices and I miss the light sensor that would automatically tune the WP40's down when the lights go off. Echotech should think about this feature for those who don't have a controller.

I'm working on some covers for them to see if I can get them to a tolerable noise level for my picky ears.

Yesterday I sold the yellow tang because it and the powder blue didn't get along too well. Sad to see it go but it has a good home with Dave.

Today I changed out skimmers. Hope the extra cost will be worth it. Went from a Vertix IN-100 to a Super Reef Octopus 2000SSS. It barely fit into the compartment and I don't have it at it's optimum depth yet but it seems to be doing well.

Pics to come...
