Black and White Ocellaris Why do they have orange face?

I have seen alot at my local fish stores taht have that orange looking face, are they like that? I have seen alot of pics of other black and white ocellaris and they are jet black. i also see some that are brown, could someone tell me why they arent jet black? I thought it could be because they are juviniles but I was told that they are full black even young. could someone help explain if the clowns are like this or they will lose the orange?

And you are correct. 99.9% of the time you will find captive bred b&w ocellaris and they are quite young. They will turn jet black as they mature.

This pair lost the orange around the 2yr mark, but they both have had the orange return around year 3. Diet changes, anemones have changed, breeding, etc. Would not even want to speculate on the reason for the change:

Wow I didnt know that the small ones are all orange aswell, I guess they can get mixed up with the regulars. Any tips on how to spot one of these guys if they were mixed in with regular ocellaris? A fellow club member of mine bought a what he assumed was a regular ocellaris for 10 dollars and it came to be a black ocellaris. And also that big guy looks like he still has some orange on the face. I was also told that there is still a chance that the adults may still have the orange face, but after reading it has something to do with their diet right?
