Hi all,

I just had my first casualty with a blue reef chromis.

Purchased 3 and both were doing very well earlier today. By the evening, one went missing and I finally found him hiding underneath some rocks sometimes on its side.

An hour or so later, it was dead.

I pulled it out and it has some black marks on the side.

Is this black ich?

Any help appreciated as I want to try save the other two fishes if possible.

Thanks

Not black ich, I would suspect Urenoma. Black ich are actually worms that usually are a result of poor water quality, and usually associated with tangs

Thanks. Will look that up. I saw a thread on that but looked slightly different but to be honest, sometimes it's a little confusing.

At one point I thought it was brooklynella as the fish was hiding quite a lot before hand.
