Welcome to RC.
Beautiful shark. I agree that the fish look a little uncomfortable, but for good reason.
Can you tell us a little more about the system????

The tank is 1800*1200*720 Inch or centimeters? In inches that is over 6.5 million gallons. In centimeters that's 409000 gallons. That is a lot of water. That is 650000 or 40000 gallon water changes WOW!
I must be missing something, I am not sure what to think at this point.
My math must be wrong!

Looks like he has been rubbing his nose. How bads the damage, too hard to tell from the photo's you posted. Post some more pics like FTS and close ups of the blacktip.

Did you guys notice there's a tiny clownfish in the second picture, bottom right? Is that food for the shark? :eek1:

I also questions the dimensions. From the way the picture looks, the tank doesn't seem all that deep. You can see the gravel and the surface in the frame. If the tank were 720 CM tall, it would be about 22 feet. If 22 MM deep, more like 2.2 feet. It looks like neither to me. So what size is this tank???

Sorry, too late to edit the post.

I meant if tank was 720 MM tall, it would be about 2.2 feet. It seems to be neither 22 feet nor 2.2 feet tall, so what are the true dimensions?

sorry i miss unit

1800mm * 1200mm * 720mm + sump

600 gallon tank

that shark refuse feed

cuttlefish, clam, ETC...

and the other fish ignore shark

somtimes pupple tang peck the shark:eek:

Those are some beautiful fish, but I'm pretty confident that a black tipped reef shark needs a tank about 25 to 30 times larger than a 600 gallon. Might explain why it's not eating.

That's what I was thinking. Great advice..:)

A 600 is way to small, and likely is a factor in why the shark is not eating. Best bet is to find a public aquaria and talk them into taking it off your hands.
