No issues with clams either in regards to the sea star. Like I said, they are herbivorous so the only thing they really go for is algea and film algea. When mine wasn't looking so hot, I would throw it in the sump / fuge area for a couple weeks and it would bounce back.Thanks for offering the sea star. I'm adding a clam in my tank soon and I have read they could bother it. Any past experiences about this?
Tank looks that is starting to thrive. Did you find out what was the problem with your water source?
As for the tank, thanks. I think things are finally coming around the corner for it. I didn't really do anything in regards to the water aside from acid bathing the rocks, removing the sand/fuge area from the sump. Also bumped up my cleanup crew with 3 fighting conchs, a turbo and a couple hundred dwarf ceriths I collected from Marco Island. The ceriths do a tremendous job keeping all the nooks and crannies clean on my "Marco type" rock.
