Blackthunda77's 80Gal Shallow Reef Build

Got a couple new specimens last night trading some of my frogspawn, candycanes, and my blue jaw trigger.

Thanks yman. And also thanks George for your generosity. It was nice meeting the both of you.

These are a couple nice sized colonies or purple deaths, jokers, armor of gods, and fire and ice. Some of them are still closed up from dipping them in revive.

Fire and ice from George. Still ****ed from the revive dip. Seems like they are opening up though. These are the bullet proof morph right George? Lol.

That's it for now. New lights should be going up tonight / tomorrow morning. Hopefully everything will be open tonight and I'll have better pics.

The jokers from George and the punkrockers from yman are still closed up from the transfer and revive dip. Hopefully they will be open by when I get home. I know they are only zoanthids and most people don't dip those but better safe than sorry.

punk rockers are tough. Dang goby buried them couple nights ago and I did not notice until yesterday night. Dug them backup and within a couple of hours they were open again :)

Yeah, give them a few days. They are most likely still detoxing from my nitrates! lol

Beautiful build; I just read this thread in its entirety. One question though: do you have the model number for the under-cabinet "moon light" that you bought from Ikea?

Ok here is an update with some better pics.

All of these pics were taken under my new reflectors so the polyps closed up a bit during the transfer.

I'll be posting the install of the new lights and some par readings shortly

The new elite reflectors.

All of these readings were at the same depths, 1", 6", and about 13" under the waters surface and with the bulb 12" above the surface.

I'll try to look that up for you, but in all honesty its pretty easy to fine. It's the color changing unit that consists of 4 12 in bars and you can install them individually or connect them all and have a 48 in strip
