Can you tell if they are B. merletti or wellsi?
Which runs more colorful?

hey guys, i'm just posting the same blasto just as an update on how much it has grown and how the colors have changed on it . I got this one just about 1 year ago so I thought it might be kool to show as an update

As far as I have seen yes....However, if there is anyone out there with some colorful Merletti shots, please post them!!

WOW nice stuff everybody! can you please give me a brief run down on how to care for them?

flow= med/low?

light= med/low?

feedings=weekly/2 times a week?

would the above be a general rule of thumb?

I have mine in med light, med flow, and hardly feed, but I am sure 1x-2x feedings/week would stmulate better growth

Kev - my blastos like med flow and med light they are at the bottom of a 20 g tall with 4 ) 24 watt ho t-5's. i feed them very 3 days every head gets some mysis and the larger heads get a very small piece of silver sides once in a while the first pic i posted they were under a single 18 watt pc on a 10 g tank. i didnt start spot feeding untill 6 months ago and ive had them for a year...here are a couple pics of the newest blasto's i picked up yesterday.
