Bleached SPS frags .... what to do now?

oh.. well even so, I have been battling my own bleach issues and besides too much light, the issue is a stale tank meaning not enough nutrients and from what I can see from your pictures the tank is super clean which mean low low nutrients.. I would start feeding heavy and also dose amino acids...

what about the frags from the 1st post? Did they make it? FTS? I'm interested to compare now...

Yes the frags in the original post are still alive. Here are the two from the original post as well as a couple of others that I shot today. I'm much happier with these than the original pics needless to say.

Wow! what an improvement! Have you tried feeding your SPS directly? I have been having measurable success with Oyster Feast.

Thanks, I'm very excited. I do throw in some Coral Frenzy some times but I started having the improvement before I started that. For me I think it's been aging of the tank and just generally heavier feeding all together.

How high above the tank are you keeping your ATI now?

My Sunpower is about 7" from the water line.

so basically just as the tank matured and you went to twice/day feedings the corals turned around?

Wow, thats really good. Excellent work there on your part in keeping things going in the right direction. You are rewarded with beautifully coloured corals.

I've had similar issues with a couple small colonies and was really clueless on what could be causing them to loose color. I moved them from the top of the tank to the sand bed two days ago and color already seems somewhat better. I've always fed really sparingly so I'm going to try to increase that and hopefully will see similar results as you have.

Yep. Think the tank just needed to age a bit and I do think I was underfeeding. Even with the move to 2x a day, I have little to no additional algae in the tank.

Thanks, they are really coming along. That was a LONG year though of staring at ugly white nubs.
