Blue/Green Chromis Red-Spot

i just bought a Blue/Green Chromis online and while in quarantine it developed something that looks like a huge scar just past the pectoral fin:furious:... i've never had a fish with anything other than itch so i don't know what this is.
i've already put the fish through a freshwater dip as a precautionary measure..
he has rapid breathing (and had it before the dip).:thumbdown:

may be uronema...very common for chromis to get this...formalin may work..

can it jump species??
and...
will formalin kill my live rock etc.?

Never, ever, ever, ever treat in a tank that has live rock or sand in it. Or inverts.
