Blue Hippo tang + Yellow tang in a tank?

I know that if you want to get a Blue Hippo tang and a Yellow tang for your tank, its better to get them at the same time so they can get along better, but, should they be roughly the same size? Or it doesn't really matter as long as you get them both at the same time?

In your 106,000 ml nano?

I have a hippo in my tank that has been there for over a year, along with a valamingi (spelling?), and a tominni, I just (last week) added 2 yellow and 1 scopas tang. No huge fights at all, even though the tominni is a tyrant.

I had a blue and a yellow about the same size. I added the blue one first because supposedly the yellow is more aggressive. Turns out the blue hippo was more aggressive. Not to my yellow tang but to my purple tang who is supposedly the most aggressive out of the 3 tangs.

Regardless of size or which one went in first I have never had any problem with hippos and yellows together.

I wouldn't add the hepatus to a 100 gallon tank (and that is without even knowing what else is in the tank).

+1, 100g is too small for a hippo, yellow and something else small (kole) would be fine.

They should be fine as long as there's enough LR and hiding spots.

Take a look at my hepatus tang. Tell me that fish would be ok in a 100 gallon (4 foot) tank.

The tank is: 62"longx14"widex25"wide. There isn't too much rock in the tank, most of it is flat and is against the back, the rock doesn't go all the way up either. So, there are tons of places that are 12-14"wide. There is also good filtration on the tank.[ie skimmer, carbon, GFO, UV sterilizer(I know, doesn't do much, but my friend wants to keep it on his tank lol), and soon to be a fuge.]

I know someone that had a yellow and purple together. Has been fine the last I heard. Added a purple after the yellow.

Yellow and Purple could turn out badly, very similar body shape in a smaller tank, but people have done it.

I wouldn't put a blue tang in a 100 gallon tank. Mine was 4" - 5" and he's too big and he got aggressive in my 100 gallon (5 ft tank). My purple and yellow tang get along fine but my purple tang is also smaller than the yellow.
