Blue Sponge

I just picked up a Blue Sponge and I thought I share a couple pics. Only paid $20!! I've read a lot about them. Has any one out there had success with this coral? Anything I should know that isn't common knowledge?

Don't mix sponge with angel fishes or they will eat it all

I know Jake (treesmoker) had success with them in his tank . But in most cases dead in a couple of months

My guess is that the challenge would be providing sufficient phytoplankton to keep it happy. Without jacking up nitrates and phosphates.

Thanks guys! I'll be sure to keep it well fed. What is the trick to keeping nitrates/phosphates low if you have corals that require a lot of feeding? I'm feeding Roti & Oyster Feast 2-3 times a week, spot feeding with a turkey baster. I usually feed half a teaspoon of each every time. Is this to much?

also i hope you did not allow the sponge to get in contact with air, if they tough air they die. keep it shaded, i had a good size one in my tank.
