I do provided it does not hamper lighting the tank too much :-D

Yes that Is my main objective In finding a product other than keeping them from jumping. I have some In black that may work but would rather get a clear type mesh that would be perfect. A simple frame the size you want and easy on and off access when you want to get In the tank. Any Ideas you may have just feel free to share them here.
Thanks, Bill

Bill,

There is a mesh that is often used to package fruit that is very thin, comes in white, and has large holes but enough coverage to keep a fish from jumpinmg. Ironically it lokks kinda like a gill net LOL..I remeber seieng it in grocerie stores for bags of oranges and such. Any idea about that kinda of material?

I was thinking about that mesh that holds those nano bio things. LOL one bag came with my nano24 looks like 1/2in opening. Did you get one in your nano24 Andy. And think there red in color.

OK we got 7 with Tim (luckyfish) being lucky # 7 No pun Intended.
Yeah that Is the kind of stuff I'm looking for, Gonna do a road trip to all the home centers and hardware stores tomorrow....

Goodluck on finding the mesh.

You gonna jump in or are you jsut giving us a hard time?

I'm down for one and bill already have me on the list. I'm not trying to give anyone a hard ttime or maybe just you. LOL but if bill find that mesh I'm aNt a roll and maybe I'll be doing my 125 so I can keep some Wrasse.

You can get the black mesh at HD but the holes are too big. You have to put 2 layers on and make sure they are offset to minimize the hole size. Then buy a piece of aluminum screen frame, 4 corner pieces, and the rubber spline and build it like you would a screen. A better bet is to get the predator netting from a pond store (it is finer mesh). Both types are UV treated which is very important unless you want to be replacing it often. I've used it for years on my tanks.

Well you just saved me a bunch of running around Dave, And I thank you as that Is what I was gonna look for. The aluminum screen frame sounds like an easy way to put It all together.
How goes It my friend, Did you see the vacation thread to Australia? Just when you think you have a good looking tank, Bam back to reality! Will we see you In Choo-Choo?

Bill

I should be there with a few new things to offer incl. some clams I need to get rid of. I'd shoot for a maximum of 3/8" hole spacing as those blue spots come up fast and can go through anything larger (I lost one that way). You can never rival the beauty of Nature!
