I think 3/4" Is too much space for them to jump right through, unless you stagger two layers. With the other one It's 3/8" and It comes In white also, Better to reflect light than black I think.

My suggestion would be to cut some eggcrate to fit into the rim of your tank. it will let more light pass than a screen, and home depot sells a chrome version which is what I used to use.
you can snip it with dikes, and make holes for just about any plumbing.
Please don't try housing one without some kind of screen, they will jump, Absolutely!

Yeah your right bill I thuoght it was lil smaller then qarter. And eggcart whould work but the chrome version is toxic if it chip and goes in your tank. And it chips easy.

How you been Mobi, I'll take your suggestions as been there done that and will save all some time and money. Some times things get over thought too much. Although the right mesh IMO should do a good job also.
My tank has never been so peaceful since those Tangs are gone, Thanks to your trap or I never would have caught them.

OK Justin great that makes 8, I'll send everyone a PM as to when and how the best method to pay Is for them. The plan Is to order on the 28th so payment by then Is needed.

After closer Inspection I see that mesh comes on a 10ft roll X 5,000 ft long so It will be plenty of mesh but I'm afraid It will be too expensive! We shall see soon as they open.

OK Just got the Info and It's not to bad cost wise.
The first option Is OV3018 1/4" net @ 1.40ft w/50ft min= 70.00+ shipping and It's UV protected.
Second option Is OF1581 1/2"net @ 1.68ft w/50ft min = 84.00+ shipping.
That's pretty cheap per ft and would be less than egg crate that runs around 12.00 a sheet at the home centers. I suggest that everyone measure how many ft you will need and we can get a total amount needed and get an order going If that's what Is decided by all Involved LMK what you all think. Also It comes In a box not a roll but It's 10' wide by how many sq ft we buy, and can be cut to the size you need.

OK after I hear from a majority of those ordering we can figure an exact cost to each Individual buyer and get It ordered so we will have It by the time the fish get here. The cost can be added to your payment If that works for everyone? I think a check mailed would be the cheapest way to avoid fees by pay pal ( Unless you want to pay the 4%) I can lay out the netting cost so we can get It ordered ASAP I will PM all with my mailing address If all agree with this as the cheapest easiest payment method for all.
