Blue Tort

I am considering getting one. I have had good luck with orange monti digi and caps, and green monti digi and caps, and green birds nest. So I was wondering how much more demanding if any is a blue tort?

Will it turn brown under my lights (see sig)

I havent seen any brown tots just different shades of blue and or green .

IMO torts are very hardy especially ORA torts. They hold color well and grow decently.

Hum, hard to say, Ive seen them under that lighting, I have a very nice large frag under 440 watts of VHO mix of 50/50's and actinics and 130watts of PC's duel daylight


I would worry more about water quality than lighting

Water needs to be very clean for SPS esspecially acros of any kind

Skim good, do wc's and keep Phosphates under .05... the lower the better, and keep nitrates 0 to VERY VERY low as in, maybe 2ppm


Keep everything stable too, stable Ca and stable Alk and stable pH


Clean Water, Stable Water and Good lighting and youll have a prized tort.

I'd give the ORA a shot; as clkwrk said the ORA is pretty hardy and you should be able to pick one up at a pretty good price.
