Congrats with Thread of the Month!! :) Well deserved.

Leonardo

Thanks Leo! that means a lot coming from you. Your Formosa Forest tank has inspired me for simplicity and I am loving your new lagoon concept tank as well. Your unorthodox style of reef keeping is an inspiration to us all. ;)

Thank you all for the wonderful comments!

ok fisrt off... like none of your pictures are coming up. seems you exceeded your bandwith... and from what i DID see.. hate to say it.... i thought it was horriable. i mean its your tank. im glad you like it. but i dont like it one bit

I sure hope I can get my tank close to "horrible" once its all setup and running!

ps.. how close to "horrible" is YOUR aquascape crackhead? :D

this tank is too nice its not even funny. i cant wait to see a little more growth so those cardies can hide in the acro branches. simply amazing tank. im happy i fell on this thread, theres is alot to be learned about makin unique scapes.

extremely nice tank. The tank is going toward the evolution of a nature aquarium from the planted scene. I'm on the same route as yours. Hopefully mine will look half as good as yours and i'll be happy.

like i said none of the pictures were working..... im glad you got them up. and working.. .the tank looks great. it must have been others tanks i was looking at.

tank looks awesome. love the scape and the corals, and pretty much everything about it. it will keep looking better and better as it grows out.

love your frag tank too, think i might try something like that.

On the show "How its made" on Discovery yesterday (I usually don't like it but...) they had an episode of Bonsai Tree making and I watched because of this thread lol. And after the show I can clearly see how you came up with the title or were inspired by it. You did a good job trying to resemble it.

Amazing tank! I just love rimless tanks!!!! Beautiful black tang. Gosh I wish I could afford a black beauty. Great job! TOTM for sure! :)

Unfortunate News

Unfortunate News

Guys, I have made a terrible and costly mistake yesterday. I decided to place the Tunze streams more into and behind the rock work, i wanted to kinda conceal them a little when looking at the display from the front. Well as a result i found my Black Tang sucked up against it this morning. :( It then occurred to me that this is exactly where this fish would go as soon as the lights turn off and seek shelter. I am thinking the poor thing was sucked on there all night long due to a wound on it's side and all it's fins shredded. I am devastated to find this fish wounded like this it is still alive but breathing very hard, keep in mind it is only 2 inches. I am sure it will not make it :( this fish was too good to be true. But i guess on a brighter note i still have 3 red spot cardinals going strong and on a second batch of eggs in one of it's mouth, don't know what happend to the first batch of eggs. also all of my Thread fin cardinals are all doing really well.

Tunze placed behind the rockwork

Bummer to hear. My purple tang went through something similar when it was in it's former owner's care. It looked worse than your black tang but made a full recovery in a few short weeks. Best of luck!

Thanks Guys, i hope it makes a recovorey but i really doubt it will. He has a wound on the other side and it looks pretty bad like 2 lines of raw meat. It's not eating and has a hard time staying upright. *sigh*
