Bonsai Tree inspired Aquascape

Yes I don't like the corner overflow but that is what I have to work with I guess... The tank is very very heavy with 5/8 inch thick glass... It's crazy!

crazy, ...

have you taken any precautions to ensure that as the SPS grow in, that "branch/arm" of live rock will not fall due to the extra weight of the corals growing on it?

park ave i am in love with that tank...my LFS has it and the 300g starphire versions of both....they are wanting $1000 for the tank and the stand tho, and $300 for the hood. thats a little to pricy for me...but i do love the tank

Well, I have got to say your tank is one of the most beautiful tanks I have ever seen... The scape is perfect and everything looks amazing! So with that being said, you have now inspired me to do the same thing so the upgrade from my 47cube has begun! Just bought the tank! My question is what calcium reactor are you using and do you have a complete parts list for it? Thanks and again beautiful tank!

Oh I sure hope so, but I’m pretty confident that the structure can withhold future coral growth. I guess only time will tell I have also placed frags between the joints in hopes of it reinforcing the strength when they completely encrust over them.

What is your livestock now?

I still love the design - but I kinda miss the splash of color the yellow tang gave.

@Szymon - your standards must be really high in poland because I think this tank is fantastic right now.

Youre right about the tang cause i do to, if i come across a healthy tiny yellow tang i may have to pick it up. Funny you should ask about my livestock i have just purchased 12 Apogon leptacanthus, i still have 3 Cromis, 1 Mystery Wrases and 5 Red Spot cardinals (Apogon Parvulus) i lost 2 to the Tunze Streams.

Thanks for the words!

I have noticed these 3 red spot cardinals are always staying together, Then i noticed one of them had a bunch of eggs in it's mouth. Thought it was cool that they are breeding in my tank but i highly doubt the fry will survive.

How long have you had the red spot cardinals? Those usually die.

BTW awesome tank.

It's been 3 weeks now and so far still have 5 out of 7.

Congratulations, this thread is the winner of Novembers Thread of the Month!
