Bought new led light fixture from China.

Here's my unit, looks really nice! Just about to read the manual and hook it up :)

I paid for the wired model as it was cheaper, but the control box and the led unit itself both say WIFI on it?

Gillguy, can you post the % and times for channel 2 and 4 like you did for 1 and 3? Want to replicate yours and see how it goes :)

My unit just arrived now :)

Also how exactly do you set the times/intensity on this unit. Oh also, what max % would you reccommend for each of the 4 channels starting out? My tank is currently on a different set of chinese LED units, with cree LED's, blue channel 70% and white/colours 60%.

Thanks

Channel 2 (all white) 7:30 0%, 9:00 20%, 10:00 45%, 12:00 70%, 4:30 70%, 6:00 35%, 7:15 5%, 7:30 0% channel 4 (4 blue 1 red 1 green) 8:00 0%, 9:00 10%, 10:00 20%, 11:00, 35%,12:00 50%, 4:00 30%, 6:00 5%, 6:30 0%

Cheers mate,

So if I started with channel 1 and 3 maxing at 50%, Channel 2 maxing at 45% and channel 4 maxing at 25%

Would that be a good start? Then increase each channel 5% weekly? Or is that too low?

Also how come you have channel 4 which is mostly blues (well on mine as I ommited red and included the 1 green on each cluster) so low compared to 1 and 3?

Yes, starting at those percentages is fine and increase 5% a week. I like the color spectrum I get with channel 4 lower. The numbers I gave you are actually lower. I forgot that my Channel 4 is now up to 55%. If mine was like yours with no red then I would probably have it higher. Having the red does make the spectrum whiter. I am actually up to 85% on 1 and 3 but I had to increase by 2% weekly once I got to 75% due to stress on corals.

what % would you reccommend for my channel 4 then considering my others channels in the above post? Cheers mate.

Also, does the fan on the power supply annoy anyone? mine comes on every few minutes for a few seconds and it's not quiet, anyone know what size it is, 80mm, 3 pin? Think I'll look for a silent one on the bay.

Other than the fan, this unit is top quality and packs a punch! Very happy with it and love the look without the reds and extra RB in.

oh, also meant to ask, is there any way when using DIY to have a % chance of cloud and storm mode kicking in for a wee while like the AI's LED units can do?

Btw I set channel 1 to 1% at night and it's perfect as moonlighting.

I had AI Vegas before and it has auto moon cycle (basically changes between 1-5% on a cycle) and the 1% on these look like the 1% on the AI. So could even go higher if you wished to manually simulate the moon.

Can you run these on an apex controller? From what I have been reading if they are driven by meanwell drivers you can do it, but just seeing if anyone has tried or thinks it can be done.

So here it is, I got mine setup and running finally.

Took 5 T5HOs off the canopy, and lid removed, all LED channels running at 35% intensity, and a single T5HO still running in the back. I plan to run the single bulb T5HO (superblue) for next 6 months while I bring the LEDs up to 80% intensity level (I plan to keep it at 80% max).

View from the top. The wire on top of the fixture feeds power, which is coming off of a separate power supply box. Next to it is a connector with a wire to the smart controller. The T5HO light under the canopy is visible.

Channel 1 - 12000K white

Channel 2 - Royal Blue

Channel 3 - green + UV (1:2). Didn't expect the greens to be this strong, I may consider replacing them in the future. UVs don't generate much visible spectrum.

Channel 4 - blue. Running these at 1% is almost good enough for a moonlight.

During sunset, no T5, LEDs only (all channels at less than 18%)

for comparison, here's more recent picture with 6 T5s.

Anyway, so far so good, all corals appear to respond well to the new light.

Next few months will be interesting, I'll be monitoring all corals closely while slowly increasing the light intensity every week.

Looking good, they give off lovely colour, very happy with mine.

I run channel 1 at 1% for moonlighting and it's perfect, could even do higher.

FedEx tracking says ours arrived at their facility in Orlando this morning....
Should be delivered tomorrow! Can't wait!!

i ordered the LedZeal S300 as well. It will be delivered this Fri 3/28. I will try and post pics. I have a standard 75 gal tank that is 48" wide and about 17" to the top of the sand bed. I have 90 degree optics coming. How high off the water should I set the lights? I have a screen door material cover over the top of my tank. How will this affect the par value at the bottom of the tank? Look forward to the feedback.

I have the same tank and I ordered 120deg optics. My fixture is sitting on top of the canopy, so I think the fixture is at least 16" above water (see my post). I feel the coverage from the 120deg optics is just right, as suspected the 120deg optics doesn't spread the light evenly through the full 120deg span.

Overall, the fixture should have more than enough power for standard 75G, so the screen door material should not matter so much.

Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the way these lights look on your tank. there's already better colour pop than under T5 which is surprising.

conix, so I am assuming your aquarium is 48" long?

my tank is 48" long and I really wanted the brackets, but I asked kevin and he said
that they recommended using the hanging kit if my tank is 48".

I'm disappointed. Is there anywhere to get the brackets state side?

Conix, looks great. Also, for those that said there is no difference between rb and blues in your pics of the two it can be seen. RB is much more blue especially on the sandbed. Keep us posted. Tank looks great!

You need to order it from LedZeal, why wouldn't they send it to you? You could probably build it yourself using the same gauge stainless steel rod. You just need to make 90 degree bend at 8 locations.

The fixture is slightly less than 48", at 120cm, which makes the bracket wok perfectly well with the 48" tank.

Thanks Gillguy. The difference between RB and Blue were not obvious, but when individually lit, I could tell the difference by observing corals.
