If you are referring to acclimating corals to a new bulb after replacing an old bulb, there are a few different ways to acclimate them.
First if the bulb is a year or younger you may not need to acclimate the corals to the new light, but if you want to play it safe (or if the bulb is older) I would suggest shortening the photoperiod by a couple of hours and then slowly increasing the time back to normal over a few weeks.
Another way is if you have the ability to raise the lights higher above the tank, you can raise the lights and then slowly over a few weeks lower them back to the normal height.
One last way I have seen people acclimate the corals to the new light is to use a couple layers of shade screen or plastic mesh and over a few weeks reduce the layers until there are no more layers.
I hope this help out. If there is anything else we can do for you do not hesitate to ask.
