i've heard of people breeding peppermints... not that i'd ever want to...
they look and kinda act like little cockroaches imo. The little roachers scamper out for food, and dart back under cover

As far as I know all shrimp, cleaners included, only take care of the eggs. The larvea that hatch are free swimming and very hard to raise in captivity, the food size and amount are hard to provide as well as filtering them without sucking up the young into your filter system.
I have several sp lay eggs and I have never seen a "bad" parent as far as eggs are concerned. My atlantic scarlet cleaners lay eggs almost every month a few days around the full moon. When the eggs hatch the larvea get eaten by almost everything and the ones that don't go into the overflow.
Good luck if you choose to breed, the more people are successful, the better the hobby.

from what i've heard, cleaners are near impossible to breed. They've been bred in lab environments but in numbers so small, it's not even worth trying, as the survival rates are so low, that they aren't sold captive bred.
