...Thanks Dan, Ali's thread is the one that I have been following for my dosing schedule.

Have you notice any difference between Bioptim and vodka?...
Nope. Still get that same nasty looking skimate that I had when I was using Bioptum. My PO4 has been steady at around 0.03 (Hanna) from about 6 weeks after starting the regiment. (I feed pretty heavily on a daily basis.)

I finished the manifold that will run my media reactors and Ca reactor.

I replaced the barb fitting on my PM media reactor with john-guess fitting for easier removal.

.... and the finished product.

Thanks Dan, I might try vodka once the bioptum is gone. I just tested my PO4's and they were .18 ppm (hanna). I started GFO and will start prodibio Monday.

How much vodka do you dose?

Your manifold looks great Brian. Any reason you didn't used True Union BV for them?? Apart from cost??

Cost more or less. I can replace the whole manifold for the price of one True Union ball valve.

Brian, Your tank is coming along nicely, I have a similar manifold in my system also and it works well. As far as vodka dosing, when I remember I dose about 2ml per day.

Thing are starting to test out better. PO4's are down from 1.8 ppm to .09 after adding GFO and I hooked up the Ca Reactor. I might add a few fist that are ready to get out of QT on Wednesday. Need to make room for some new fish I'm get.

Have you thought about moving the center island to the left or right?? Just too center focus, if you know what I mean, unless of course you're planning to scape the corals to make the center island look less center??

Just my 2cent - hope you don't mind suggestion lol

With biodigest once you run out of biotrim. You'll need at least two carbon source vodka/sugar,or vodka/vinegar. Brightwells MB7 and vodka works great together.

Why do you need two carbon sources for Bio Digest?

You don't Dan. Unless I am doing something catastrophically wrong.

I changed the rock work around a bit. Not sure if I'm in love with it, but it will be covered in corals soon enough. I slid the center island to the left and added some over hang on the right island.

I also added two fish that have been in QT forever. Ctenochaetus tominiensis and Pseudocheilinus ocellatus. The Pseudocheilinus ocellatus is the lone survivor from my past tank. I'll be getting a bunch of new wrasse to go into QT tomorrow :) .

Here they are acclimating to the new tank and not very happy.

Very nice Brian. I still think you are going to have to add more rock with your collecting tastes :p

Yup, we all know you've got the disease and the only cure is MORE CORAL.

Brian, do you also have blinds for your slider. I have a glare problem when I take pictures as well. I have to wait until its dark outside to take tank shots as well :(

You are probably right. I was thinking the same as I was looking at it earlier today.

Blinds.... I don't even have a couch upstairs yet. And I wonder why the wife wants the tank finished . You have to remember I just moved in a few month ago. Blinds will come after the fish :D.
