So far I love it. In comparision to the porfilux I use to own it very similar for what I need it for. The profilux had a few more tunze preset options that Apex doesn't offer but the menu options and how you scroll though them are much better on the Apex. Time will tell which is better but so fart I'm happy :D.

i have a love and hate relationship with my apex!

I seen you are having trouble networking to another computer. Are you using a 2wire router? I just hooked up to one. There are instruction on portforwarding.com. LMK if you need help as some of the instruction are missing steps.

Once I figured out how to turn the stupid alarm light off I'm super happy with the Profilux you had =)

How did you do it?

computer programming... disabled the temperature function.
In the computer software the temperature reads 100* when the probe is plugged in...

I stopped over a my buddy Nick's (mayran) house this weekend. He hooked me up with a few nice frags. Thanks Nick!

Here are a few updated shots of the tank... not the best, I still learning this whole photography thing.

Wow Brian,

I've been busy and haven't been on the boards lately. Looks like you've made some good progress since I've been away. Nice to see you off to a good start!

Btw, don't know if that was me you said that was welcome to come by some time to see the tank but if so THANKS! I've never been to MI before and with work the way it is for me don't know that I'd be able to make that trip anytime soon but that's very nice of you to extend the invitation.

Somehow I have a feeling it wasn't me you were talking about though, lol!

At any rate, keep up the good work!~

Hard to tell with those pictures but it looks like your corals have some good coloring. How about some close ups?

You call those frags?

I call those colonies! :D

Following along to watch the growth. What test kit(s) do you use for ALK?

Thanks LL. I use Lamotte, been happy with it for yrs. I have used most and API is OK if I need a fast test but all other alk test are Lamotte. Are you in the market for a new test kit?

I have an ELOS and two Salifert ALK kits. In addition, I borrowed a friend's API kit... I got three widely different readings. But that is the subject of another thread.

So to answer your question, I am looking for someting I can trust...
