Brook and Ich?

Folks, new to RC but hoping for confirmation on what's afflicting my two clowns (only fish in the 12g nano). Illnesses look very different and I can't tell for sure that the smaller clown isn't just covered in pods from my very recent pod explosion. Appreciate any feedback/guidance I can get. Thanks!

Steve

Should also add that as soon as I noticed this (was away from the weekend) I fed (both ate willingly) and did a 20% water change (was due for my weekly anyway). Larger clown from first post is noticeably unhappy and hangs at near the bottom of the tank with his back end drooped down almost 45 degrees. Responsive but obviously in need of something. Smaller clown from 2nd post is as active as can be and no noticeably scratching/rubbing.

Clown #1 def has Brook. Not 100% sure what's going on with clown #2, but if he shares water with clown #1 it's a safe bet he has Brook too. I would begin formalin treatments ASAP, as Brook can be a quick killer. You can deal with Ich later if it turns out they both have that as well.

This. Brook for sure.

Clown one didn't survive the night. Clown 2 this morning looks nothing like yesterday. Ich-like spots are gone but brook patches are quickly overwhelming him. I don't have formalin and the LFS doesn't carry it.

Am I looking at a euthanize-at-best situation? On the bright side, they're the only two fish so there will be a long fallow period.

Huge bummer...

Without formalin, there is no real treatment. So sorry.

Thanks Steve. Guess this one is going "back to the ocean to play with Ariel" like the other one... Nano is in my very attentive 3 year old's room.:(

Can you get your hands on quick cure? Walmart usually carries it. I've used it to treat brook. It has formalin in it.
