It's not the tubing. It's only been running 6 months, but i bought it 2 years ago so no warranty. Any thoughts on why it would just stop? It's way out of the way so exposure to salt water of creep not an issue. Do they have a fuse?

is it turning? I've had one brs doser that would back siphon, and two motor failures (though I believe that was self inflicted due to using along with a soloniod valve which requires pressure to activate).

in general they keep chugging other than the tube

No it's toast. I run it about 2 hrs a night. Very short run, maybe 18" in and 30" out. Tried it in 2 different outlets. Nothing.

jeez. Let us know what happens- those things CAN'T be very complicated inside. As soon as I saw the thread title I figured it would be tube failure.

These things have bottom of the barrel motors in them, it probably just burned itself out. You could probably get a bare replacement motor on eBay for a few bucks. There are also sellers on eBay selling pretty much the same device and some of them sell the motor, gearbox, and housing separate from the head and tubing. I would be tempted to take the motor out and run it alone to verify if it was the motor vs a stuck gear or something. Does it draw any juice when it's plugged in?

I would loan you one of my spare dosers but they're all 24v dc...

I haven yanked it out yet, I was hoping someone would say they have a fuse. So if that isn't the issue, I'll reluctantly have to tinker with it. Thankfully my track record with humans is much better that with inanimate objects....

Prepare for surgery!

I'll post some pics so you techies can see what's doing?

I've had two fail with identical symptoms. The motor runs, but the rollers don't turn. Fortunately, both failed with only a couple month's use, so they were under warranty. If they had been out of warranty, I'd have disassembled them.

Same experience x1.. Waiting for my replacement to come in...

Hey basically said, plug it in somewhere different to see if its really dead. They said it was very rare for them to just quit......hmmmmm

Anyway, just waiting to hear back on my "anything you can do?" Reply back to URS.

Cully, I hope they help you out, seems to me that they should have some other options for you. If not I'll buy it from you and rip it apart so maybe I can figure it out....lol

Still no reply from BRS....getting to the point where replacing it means going with a different brand. I'd be ok with a "no". But no reply, is bush league. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. Will retry reply.
