BTA Show Off Thread!

This is a few days after being added to the tank. It's starting to color up now. Sorry about the cell phone picture, it doesn't show the color very well.

reefael, it looks like a BTA to me. I wouldn't be surprised if it moves, they tend to prefer their column in a crevice or cave in the liverock. Very nice color. Cover any powerhead intakes to prevent a disaster if the anemone decides to wander.

It moved shortly after placing it on that rock. It anchored it self under and in between another rock facing the back of the tank. After I knew what species it was, I did some research and found out it likes to wedge it self. So, I placed it between two rocks in front and it later moved a couple of inches and hasn't moved from that spot.

If the light is to intense, do they get tired of it and retract? I noticed that when the actinics are on it opens up huge and when the daylights come on it starts to retract. Today when the daylights came on, it started to retract. So, I pulled a daylight bulb and it opened up again. It stayed opened for about 3 hrs and know its fully retracted under some shade. I run six t5's (five right know) about 8" off the surface and bta is about 17" from the light. Three are blue plus and two are actinic.

Update of my newest rbta, got it just under two months ago and it's doing great. I had a perfect spot for it, and it agreed as it hasn't moved from day one.

Here's Snow White (actually I call this Wyoming white Panda) in her bed of rose pedals at sunset

Our new hot pink decided after spending a week on the sand to climb to the top. The picture is misleading as the neon hammer is nowhere near the bta.
