Bubble Anemone

Hello All,

I had a quick question about my Anemone. I purchased him a few days ago and I placed him on a fairly flat live rock portion in my tank. The next morning I noticed he crawled to the backside of the rock where it is much darker. My LFS says its pretty common for Anemone's to do that because they tend to go places where they feel most secure at first.

I was able to barely give it some Mysis Shrimp to the few tentacles sticking out and he ate it.

So my question, will my Anemone ever come out of the dark side of the rock?

If it's foot is attached down in the liverock and it's tentecles are getting light it may not move from that spot.Thats what bubble tips prefer.I have moved the liverock around to where I can see it better,but then again it may move else where.

My anemone moved around a lot the first month or so, but finally settled down. I had another smaller one who didn't move for a month from the day I got it, and one night decided it was time for a new spot... in my Koralia power head. :/

Ah okay. I still see it moving slightly every now and then but I figured if I hold off on trying to feed him that would force it to come out to a better spot.

Okay so it appears they are pretty independent when they want to be. Thanks for the experience and sorry about your loss as well.

I just had a dream where my bubble decided he was hungry and started gobbling up all my fish and stunning my corals. I stuck my hand in the tank to try to remove the fish, etc. and the bastard had massive teeth and latched onto my finger.

Shitty dream.
