Bubble King & "Mini" Bubble King Skimmers Coming Soon - New Lower Pricing!

Hmmm would a BK mini 200 fit in a 30 gallon aga aquarium? I notice with the outpuit its like an extra inch. Trying to get the complete dimensions of the BK mini 200 here.

But is the SuperMarine the same thing as the "Mini" or is it another skimmer all together that hasn't been released yet? Sorry for such a silly question:)

The Super Marine is a completely different skimmer altogether. They are not made to replace the Mini's, and I'm sure the pricing will reflect that when it comes out on down the road.

Jeremy with the output on the mini 200 what is the total footprint of the skimmer? How much space would you recommend?

Scott

footprint is 9 by 9 inches. it should fit fine in a 30 gallon even with the
extra inch or so for the intake and output

Hmm...you guys got me thinking of selling my AP701 to get a Mini200 or a Mini180.

Only problem is that I'm upgrading to a 170gal cube sometime soon and want to make sure that the skimmer will fit my future needs. Would a 180 handle it or would the 200 be best?

I'm getting a smaller tank soon most likely the tech 120 .
I think i will get in sump skimmer next i like the BK Mini 200 for the new tank .
I have to start over soon my tank still not doing to good. I think after 13 years running none stop it is time to get started all over again new everything..... but i have to wait . My daughter getting marry next June so i'm saving my $ for now, but if i sell the 902 and 851 i have more than enough to start over.;)

Ok, I couldn't take it any longer, I had to hook up a Mini on my 58 at home. I took the Mini 160 home on Tuesday night, and by Wednesday afternoon it already created a thick, shaving cream type of foam head, that was very stable. The overall setup on this beast is ridiculously easy. And I still can't comment on how easy it actually easy to remove the pump to clean it, even though it looks like it is "buried" in there. The sound level of the skimmer is amazing, and there are absolutely zero microbubbles coming out of the exhaust on the unit.

I am extremely pleased!!!

I'm going to buy one this fall for my 37 gallon tank ( 180 or 200 ) model after I buy some other needed equipment. :) Very excited to see some action pictures from those who already bought one. :)

Good deal, we can start a Chicago BK club. I am loving mine and I don't even have it skimming the tank yet. Once I redo the plumbing I am confident that it will be a beast. I hooked it up last night in my water change container for my weekend water change and it produced a dense sea of bubbles.

I really hope the skimming performance impresses me as much as the build quality. I am still amazed by how much CNC work went into the skimmer and how precise all the parts are.

Nawww I think I will keep this one. I might be getting another one for a smaller system.

Thats a good idea. We can start it in the CMAS forum!! I have to do some work replumbing too but I think it will be worth it. I need a new return pump. I was thinking about the mini red dragon as a return but I just spent a bundle on this skimmer. ill put it off for a bit. The craftsman ship looks unbelieveable just by looking at the pics online. But the bubble density is amazing too. It looks like shaving cream. Have you looked at the drain on the skimmer? What size tubing is required for the drain? Get some pics up man!! LOL

doesn't take a long lunch

zens are you goign to hook it up today? If you do can you get some pics of it? I was thinking of when I get mine on tuesday I was going to run it in a 29 gallon aga tank and put some old skimate and other stuff and see how long it would take to remove it..LOL

Klaus,

Super Marine question. I have a 450 gallon SPS tank going. I like the BK 300 internal but its base is a little too big to fit in my sump. What base size will the equivalent super marine be? I have about 16 x 17 inches to work with. Or which model would you recommend.

Thanks
