you can buy a cheap convertor and run the same pump , it's not a big deal...

Luke, the cone is the bomb. Period. The physics aren't fake. I'm not sold on a of technology, but that doesn't make those not work as advertised. The transition from a tube to a neck, no matter how it is accomplished, simply cant be compared to a constant incline, as provided by the cone.

geoxman, why do you assert so often that you do not skim, in a thread about skimmers?

Edit... that video of that BM skimmer that you are running on your SPS tank is insane! What model BM is it? There is some nasty skim in that 5 gallon bucket.

I wish they'd hurry up and make a wavysea knockoff so I don't have to diy one.

As for the skimmers... Have you seen the KZ skimmer? If I paid 1k+ for one of those I'd hope my wife would get my head examined. On the other hand I gotta give it up to the guy that sold them that bridge. I'm sure the skimmer works great but it is $50 in materials at the most. The markup is just too extreme to not expect someone to sell something similar for a lot cheaper. And maybe it's the language barrier but I like how any criticism of the skimmer is responded to by someone at Z*ov**.c0m by saying "look at my beautiful aquarium, does your aquarium look 1/8 this good? I didn't think so now go away and let me fleece these suckers."

The BK skimmers are a little different, those things are a work of art and a fine example of craftsmanship and they are certainly worth more. I'd still never pay that much for a skimmer, I don't need a skimate covered work of art hidden under my stand.

To try and get back on topic is it possible to order from reef-free? Has anyone ever done it in the states?

Chadfarmer is an equipment junkie-he tries all of the new stuff before it is knocked off, and I say good for him! He has the coin to do so! He is also very knowledgeable about brands and how they pieces work.

I would never spend what he does on equipment-but I am glad he does so we can have his input on the knock offs.
